Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)

In conflict areas, after natural disasters and during epidemics, we provide medical assistance to millions of people who would otherwise be left alone and could die from their illnesses or injuries. We work together in an international network. Doctors Without Borders employs around 65,000 people worldwide (45,000 full-time jobs). 91 percent of them come from the more than 70 project countries — meaning that these colleagues provide the vast majority of our help. We also report on the plight of our patients worldwide and make their situation public. Especially when they have barely been heard so far. We received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 for what we do.
