There are certifications you get by filling out a questionnaire. And then there's the MACH Alliance – a global body that only accepts about 50% of applicants. We are proud to announce: Sharedien is now an officially MACH-certified member.

What exactly is the MACH Alliance?

The MACH Alliance is an international, independent association that advocates for open, modular enterprise technology. The acronym MACH stands for four architectural principles that modern enterprise software should meet today:

• M – Microservices: Individual functions are developed and operated as independent services, not as a monolithic block.
• A – API-first: Every function is accessible via an API from the outset – no closed systems, no proprietary interfaces.
• C – Cloud-native SaaS: The software is built for the cloud – not simply "lifted to the cloud," but designed for it from the ground up.
• H – Headless: Presentation and logic are separate. Content can be flexibly delivered across any channel and touchpoint.

That sounds technical – but it has very direct implications for how well a system fits into a modern enterprise landscape.

Why did we apply for MACH certification?

Quite simply: because it's the most honest proof we can provide.

We could write a lot about openness, flexibility, and ease of integration. But our customers – from OTTO to Beiersdorf to Kärcher – prove daily that Sharedien fits into complex, established tech stacks. Without workarounds. Without silos.

The MACH certification is not a self-assessment. It is an independent review by an international panel of experts. For this, we had to demonstrate that Sharedien not only meets the four MACH principles on paper – but has structurally embedded them in the platform.
